Natalie Portman is an Oscar-winning actress who has starred in films such as Black Swan, Jackie, Thor, Star Wars, and V for Vendetta. She was born in Jerusalem, Israel on June 9, 1981 to an Israeli father and an American mother. She moved to the United States when she was three years old and grew up in New York and Connecticut. She started her acting career at the age of 11, when she was discovered by an agent in a pizza parlor.
