 Jayson Tatum is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Boston Celtics in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born on March 3, 1998 in St. Louis, Missouri.
 He played college basketball for one season with the Duke Blue Devils, where he averaged 16.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. He was selected by the Celtics with the third overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft. He made his NBA debut on October 17, 2017, scoring 14 points in a loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 2018 and became the youngest player in NBA history to score 25 or more points in each of his first two playoff games. He was also selected as an NBA All-Star for the first time in 2020. He is known for his versatile scoring, clutch shooting, and defensive skills. He has a son named Jayson Christopher Tatum Jr., who was born in December 2017. He is also a fan of rap music and has a tattoo of the word “Godspeed” on his chest. He is one of the most promising young stars in the NBA and has a bright future ahead of him.
